Dear friends, dear PhD students,

After a successful first great joint venture between the two graduate programs of IRTG CRC 973 and DRS-Plant Sciences 2013, this is an announcement for a second meeting at the end of this year!

The unique opportunity:

The end of the year approaches and plenty of scientific results have been produced and presented on conferences in some cases. These results are of great interest to our young scientific community. Communicating results to this generalist audience requires out of the box thinking that is probably not frequently stimulated in our own specialized scientific groups. Take the opportunity to train your communication skills on that unique occasion and present a talk or a poster (new or one that you’ve prepared for a conference recently). Afterwards there will be a Christmas Party.

The challenge:

We invite you to give a talk or present a poster at the PhD Pre-Christmas Talk/Poster Party. The best talks and posters will be awarded with a prize!

The location:

The meeting will take place on Monday, the 8^th of December 2014, in the Zuse-Institut Berlin (ZIB), Takustraße 7. The meeting will start at 1 pm and will last at least till 8 pm.

The organization:

Please tell us till 15^th of November, if you are presenting a talk or a poster, so that we can provide sufficient numbers of pin boards!
